About David

David Emberling is an award winning photographer residing in Weston, CT. His work has been used in national advertising campaigns, as well as magazines, and in personal collections around the country.
David Emberling was born in San Francisco. He discovered his passion for photography at the age of 15, on a summer trip to Greece and Italy. His brother loaned him a camera for the trip, and it never left his side. In the next few years, he bought a camera of his own, and developed a love of landscape and nature photography that was a natural outgrowth of his many backpacking expeditions around the West. He attended the University of California, where he studied film, photography, music, and theater. Several years later, he opened his first studio in New York City.
In 1991, married and with a young son, he moved to Connecticut. He now lives and works in Newtown, CT,where he now produces commercial, editorial, and personal images. His philosophy is that all of life is beautiful, and his mission as a photographer is to capture and reveal that beauty in everyone.
